Are you a high achiever who’s playing it safe and paying for it?

You know that Sunday night feeling, feeling nervous before another week of pretending?

Or that moment when a colleague gets promoted and you smile and say “So happy for you!”, then it hits you: “I’ve been on autopilot for too long”.

You tell yourself you’ll stay safe for now. However, by the time the discomfort becomes unbearable, the spark that drives change feels dimmed. You feel doubt.

Staying safe is not doing you any favours, because the longer you stay, the harder it becomes to believe you can pivot. Your comfort zone shrinks and your confidence erodes.

Meanwhile, the job market will continue to change, jobs will be more about skills and less clearly defined. I get that from talking to different people (from clients, to friends in Tech and other fields), from reading career related articles and reports.

And one day you realize you’ve built a career suited for outside expectations, but not your own. If your future self could send you a message today what would they say?

Maybe something like: “Figure out what you actually want. And act on it.”

The curious, driven version of you, the one full of ideas, the one who wants meaningful work fades the longer you settle. Self-doubt, perfectionism and fear contribute too.

If this post feels uncomfortably accurate, there is a way out.

My work is about helping you enhance that version of yourself again, to clarify what you want, to build confidence and to take action. Before coaching you overanalyze, delay decisions. After coaching you identify options, you know your direction, you take steps.

Message me and let’s book a 30-minute Meaningful Career Strategy session. We’ll talk about where you are, what’s keeping you stuck, and what you can do about your most pressing challenge right now.
